PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld tab in which welding slag generated during a welding work is removed. SOLUTION: The welding tab assembly is provided with a weld tab 10 and a metal rod 20. The weld tab 10 has an inverted L-shaped recess 11 defined in one side of the weld tab and an inclined hole 12 defined in a top face of the recess. The metal rod 20 is inverted L-shaped and is received in the inverted L-shaped recess 11. An inclined section obliquely extends from the metal rod 20 and is received in the inclined hole 12 in the weld tab 10. A fastener detachably holes the metal rod 20 in the recess. The welding slag is removed during the welding process by means of detaching the weld tab 10 from the welded parts, so that the welding quality is improved.
