PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting gene polymorphism. SOLUTION: An oligonucleotide probe and/or an oligonucleotide primer are prepared so that they may include the gene polymorphism site from the gene polymorphism information in the gene encoding a drug-metabolizing enzyme or so that the gene polymorphism part may be included in the amplified fragments when the gene encoding the drug-metabolizing enzyme is amplified. Then, the resultant oligonucleotide probe and/or the oligonucleotide primer are used to detect at least one of gene polymorphism in the gene encoding the objective drug metabolism enzyme.
