PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for combining a high quality product of a single-cavity mold with a high performance product of a multi- cavity mold without requiring the replacement of the existing stock of the single-cavity mold. SOLUTION: Single-cavity injection molds (12 and 14) are mutually separated physically and thermally and have first and second joined parts (22 and 28) movable between a closed position wherein a mold cavity (20) is formed and an open position where matter is detached from the mold cavity. A resin delivery system (30) is operably joined to the first joined parts (22) of the respective single-cavity injection molds (12 and 14) in order to deliver a resin to two single- cavity injection molds and a take-out system (40) is operably joined to the second joined parts (28) of the single-cavity injection molds (12 and 14) in order to take a molded disk out of the mold cavity.
