PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device allowing highly accurate positioning of a workpiece such as an engine compartment at a given place on a carriage. SOLUTION: A positioning recessed portion is provided at the center of the carriage as a positioning member on one side in the cross direction and positioning recessed portions are provided at both sides thereof in the cross direction. Positioning protruded portions 207, 208, 209 are provided at three places on a positioning robot 20 as a positioning member on the other side corresponding to the positioning recessed portions. The positioning protruded portion at least one place corresponding to the positioning recessed portion is passed through the workpiece and the positioning protruded portions 207, 208, 209 at three places are inserted into the positioning recessed portions at three places on the carriage 15 to position a front floor as the workpiece.
