PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connection system for an ultrasonic receiver array. SOLUTION: A connector assembly for a thin-film acoustic receiver array 20 is provided with a spring support block 36 with a plurality of holes 38. Each hole is aligned with a spiral compression spring 40 working as a path between the back face of a piezoelectric film 24 and a circuit card 42. A sound transmitting material 30 which performs matching between water and the piezoelectric film is used to support the front face of the film against the spring force.
