PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical support of a cylindrical sucking filter, which has a satisfactorily high shape keeping property, certain degree of freedom in flex and satisfactory resistance against stretch and shrinkage and withstands external pressure, and to provide the cylindrical sucking filter obtained by fitting a cylindrical filter medium onto the cylindrical support. SOLUTION: The cylindrical support has a woven fabric structure woven by arranging a plurality of flexible warps circularly almost parallel to one another and arranging wefts consisting of rigid wire rods spirally so that the warps and the wefts cross one another.
