APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING ORGANIC SOLVENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic solvent separating apparatus the structure of which is simplified for separating an organic solvent from water continuously and the operation efficiency of which is enhanced by simplifying the separating operation. SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 is constituted of a separating tank 2 for separating the mixed liquid of the organic solvent with water into the organic solvent and water, a flow passage 3 for forming a flow passage of the mixed liquid, another flow passage 4 for discharging the separated water to the outside and one more flow passage 5 for discharging the separated organic solvent to the outside. The mixed liquid is made to flow along a flow straightening plate 6 arranged for forming the passage 3 and collide with the bottom wall 2e of the tank 2 so that the organic solvent is separated roughly from water. The roughly separated organic solvent of larger specific gravity is made to flow along a bent part 6b of the plate 6, flows on the wall 2e in the horizontal direction, introduced into the passage 5 and discharged to the outside from a discharge pipe 20. The separated water is made to float in the upper part of the organic solvent, introduced into the passage 4 and another flow passage 40 and discharged to the outside from another discharge pipe 21.
