PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device capable of arbitrarily changing a password number used for password collation and a password collating method. SOLUTION: A plurality of password numbers are stored in an IC card beforehand. Based on predetermined conditions selected from among the plurality of password numbers stored when the password collation is performed, the IC card itself selects one password number. The password collation is performed by using the selected password number. |
