PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a capacitor having a fuse function which is free from lead. SOLUTION: The capacitor X is provided with a capacitor element 1 constituted of an internal electrode 16, an electrode 20 for external connection, and a conductor 4, which electrically connects the electrode 16 to the electrode 20 and functions as a fuse. The conductor 4 is constituted of an Ag-Sn base alloy. Preferably, the Ag-Sn base alloy is set richer with Ag than in the eutectic composition of Ag and Sn. When the capacitor element 1 is constituted of a porous body 12 of tantalum, the temperature for completely liquefying the Ag-Sn base alloy is in the range of 300 to 350 deg.C, and the ratio of Ag to Sn in the Ag-Sn base alloy is set, for example, to lie within the range of 83:17 to 90:10.
