PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the generation of crosstalks between discharge cells in a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: A first magnetic material layer 21 is formed on a surface board 11 formed by arranging a pair of scanning electrodes 12 and a pair of sustaining electrodes 13 in the row direction, a second magnetic material layer 22 is formed so as to correspond to the first magnetic material layer 21 on a back board 16 formed by arranging data electrodes 18 in the column direction, and perpendicular magnetic fields are formed in a discharge space with the first and second magnetic material layers 21, 22.
