PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device with which change-over setting for an image information on the main screen or a sub screen is easily performed in a display device that displays two screens, the main screen and the sub screen. SOLUTION: A remote control device 100 comprises an operating part 101 for operating an image display device for displaying an image information, a control unit 102 for detecting an operated keybutton and the time and further controlling the image display device based on an operated indication, and a transmission part 103 for transmitting this generated control signal. The control unit 102 so controls as to detect the time for pressing-down of each keybutton of a first selection part 113 and a second selection part, and further, when the time information is not less than a threshold, to display the selected image information on the sub screen, or, when the time information is less than the threshold, to decide that it is less, and to display the information on the main screen.
