PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve the driving performance of a hybrid vehicle by preventing the charging level of a battery device thereof from lowering. SOLUTION: This hybrid vehicle comprises an engine for driving either of a front or a rear wheel, a motor for driving the other of the front or the rear wheel, a battery means for supplying power to the motor and storing power generated by the regenerative operation of the motor, a charging level detecting means for detecting the charging level of the battery means, a means for detecting a prescribed signal, and a control means 90 for controlling the operation of the motor corresponding to the detected prescribed signal. In this hybrid vehicle, the control means 90 is composed of a means 91 for determining the driving condition of the vehicle corresponding to the detected prescribed signal, a means 92 for performing the regenerative operation of the motor under a deceleration driving condition, and a means 93 for regeneratively operating the motor if the charging level of the battery means is lower than the prescribed level under a normal driving condition. |
