METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DIELECTRIC FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a dielectric filter so that desired characteristics can easily be obtained by easily providing opening parts of respective resonators composed of through holes. SOLUTION: A dielectric block 1 is formed having a through hole 2a with a tapered part whose one opening part decreases inward in diameter. A turning lathe 20 is so shaped by previously setting its taper angle and diameter that the tool is stored in the cone-shaped tapered part 5a. So that the center axis of the through hole 2a is aligned with the center axis of the rotary cutting tool 20, the turning lathe 20 is put closer and closer to the dielectric block 1 and moved forward until it comes into contact with the through hole 2a. Consequently, an internal conductor non-formation part 6a is provided by cutting an internal conductor 3a of the tapered part 5a by the turning lathe 20. This internal conductor non-formation part is formed as an opening part and the other opening part is formed as a short-circuit part to constitute aλ/4 resonator.
