PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that can much more relieve a load on operations required for setting a communication destination and reference many more destination information items even when the capacity of a memory used to store destination information is limited. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus provided with a G3FAX MODEM 10 as a communication means to make communication with other apparatus, a network controller 11, a LAN I/F circuit 12, a LAN transfer control section 13, and an operation display section 7 using destination information to designate the communication destination by the communication means and displaying information such as characters, uses the communication means to acquire the destination information stored in a communication destination designated by the operation display section 7 and allows the operation display section 7 to display the acquired destination information. Further, the communication apparatus is provided with a parameter memory 3 for storing the destination information and the parameter memory 3 may store the acquired destination information as reference destination information.
