PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve degrees of freedom in cylinder arrangement of a Stirling engine. SOLUTION: In the Stirling engine having multiple cylinders 10, each cylinder is provided with a shroud 14 enclosing a combustion chamber 18. A one body unit is formed with each shroud and a cylinder head 16 of a cylinder corresponding to the shroud and is attached on a cylinder. A heat exchanger 19 is arranged in a combustion chamber. Working gas passing means 21, 21 for making working gas in a corresponding cylinder pass through the heat exchanger as a closed system is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
