ONBOARD EQUIPMENT FOR ELECTRONIC TOLL COLLECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide onboard equipment for use in the electronic toll collection system assuring normal passage through a toll road exit tollgate. SOLUTION: The onboard equipment has a recording medium 17 for recording toll information acquired by radio from a tollgate, a mount for mounting the medium 17, a nonvolatile memory 18 for memorizing entrance passage information indicating a passage through the entrance tollgate, a controller 13 for detecting whether the medium 17 is already on the mount, and a loudspeaker 15 and a display 16 for announcing the unmounted state in case the medium 17 is yet to be mounted despite the memory 18 memorizes a passage.
