PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage power source in which a high-voltage output value can be controlled in a wide range in the state in which a ripple amount is small. SOLUTION: A switching transistor Q1 is operated by a predetermined pulse of OFF pulse width and ON pulse width until the control target value of the output voltage arrives at a predetermined value V2. A switching means SW1 is switched according to the compared result of the output voltage with a reference voltage to output a power to be input to a high-voltage transformer T1, thereby controlling the output voltage to a target value. When the control target value of the output voltage arrives at the predetermined value V2, the means SW1 is fixed to the ON, the ON pulse width of the transistor Q1 is changed according to the compared result of the output voltage with the reference voltage, thereby controlling the output voltage to the target value.
