PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element using a red color light emitting substance which hardly causes concentration quenching, and to provide a device using the same, and to provide the light emitting element which hardly sustains photooxidation, keeping stable element characteristics for long period. SOLUTION: The light emitting element has a layer having a light emitting area between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and the layer having the light emitting area contains a compound expressed by the formula (1). In the formula (1), Ar<1> , Ar<2> represent aryl group which can have substituent or fused ring, or heterocyclic compound, Ar<3> represents linking group containing aryl group or heterocyclic compound which can have substituent or fused ring, R<1> and R<2> represent hydrogen atom or substituent, X<1> and X<2> represent oxygen atom or sulfur atom.
