PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup equipped with two beam splitters capable of more efficiently combining optical beams from two semiconductor lasers even when an incident angle of light beams to the beam splitters varies or an oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser varies, and an optical disk device. SOLUTION: As a first beam splitter, a polarized beam splitter prism 10 having a polarized beam splitter film surface 10a for efficiently reflecting an S polarized light to efficiently transmit a P polarized light is used. Further, as characteristics of the polarized beam splitter film surface 10a, dichroic film characteristics for efficiently reflecting a light of a short wavelength to efficiently transmit a light of a long wavelength.
