PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct conversion receiver which unnecessitates a steep analog filter for removing unnecessary components other than a reception object segment. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with a down converter for frequency- converting an analog RF signal modulated by an OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system so that the center frequency of the occupied frequency of the reception object segment may be a frequency of zero, an AD conversion means for converting a down conversion signal obtained by the down converter, an FFT means for performing fast Fourier transformation to a signal obtained by the AD conversion means to transform a time axis to a frequency axis, and an unnecessary component removal means for removing unnecessary components other than the reception object segment from the output signal of the FFT means.
