PURPOSE: A system for sensing a network link error and a method therefor are provided to more accurately grasp a state of a lower processor and manage a link state of a network by sensing transmitting and receiving links between an upper processor and the lower processor. CONSTITUTION: An upper processor(100) transmits state information request messages to a lower processor(200) periodically by using a timer(110) with granting serial numbers. The lower processor(200) temporarily stores the received serial numbers and the state information request messages and transmits a response message including the received serial number information to the upper processor(100). The upper processor(100) compares the received serial numbers for judging a transmitting link error.
