PURPOSE: A heater of a drum washing machine is provided to prevent corrosion and wear by forming the cemented carbide layer in the surface of a heater, and to sterilize washing water by heating washing or rinsing water with radiating far infrared rays from the heater. CONSTITUTION: A heater(50) of a drum washing machine is composed of a hot wire(500) formed in the middle of the heater; a magnesia layer(510) covering the hot wire; a stainless steel alloy layer(520) surrounding the outside of the magnesia layer; and a cemented carbide layer(530) covering the stainless steel alloy layer. Wear and corrosion are prevented by coating the surface of the heater with the cemented carbide through plasma. Water is heated by radiating far infrared rays from the heater, and sterilization washing is performed by eliminating pollutants from washing water. |
