DETERGENT FOR METALLIC PRODUCT

A sulfamic acid/hydroxycarboxylic acid detergent with which a metallic product can be cleansed while preventing it from releasing a metal and from suffering hydrogen embrittlement. The detergent comprises a sulfamic acid and at least one hydroxycarboxylic acid in a proportion of 60 to 95/40 to 5 by weight, preferably 80 to 95/20 to 5 by weight. Especially when the detergent contains citric acid and malic acid as the hydroxycarboxylic acids in such amounts that the proportion of sulfamic acid/citric acid/malic acid is 80 to 95/10 to 2.5/10 to 2.5 by weight, then the detergent has high detergency and the effect of preventing hydrogen embrittlement and metal release is maximized.
