The device is for aspirating nasal mucus, particularly from babies, young children, handicapped persons, elderly people and also animals. It has a hollow body (1) in which a piston (21) can move. The body has front (18) and rear (19) walls. The front wall has a soft material nozzle (17) which can be arranged on or in the nostril from which it is desired to aspirate the mucus. The rear wall has an opening (14) through which slides a piston operating rod (2) provided with a grasping device (23). The piston and the body are so designed that when the piston is moved from the rear forwards a drop in pressure is created in the nozzle.
