PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile ceiling structure allowing temporal installation to an EA rib without causing detachment, or generation of the bending or a wrinkle in a molded ceiling. SOLUTION: This structure has a means for hanging and fixing the molded ceiling 1 disposed on the in-cabin side of a roof panel to a cutout hole 4 formed in the laterally projecting shock absorbing rib 3 provided along a roof side to temporally install the molded ceiling 1. The cutout hole 4 has a hook shape, and a box-like projecting part 6 having a lock part 7 engaging with a hook shape part of the cutout hole 4 to position a temporal position of the molded ceiling 1 and to prevent the detachment of an end edge 2, in a plane of the end edge 2 hung and fixed to the cutout hole 4 of the molded ceiling 1, is formed. The projecting part 6 improves rigidity of the end edge part 2 of the molded ceiling 1 in a portion engaging with the hook shape part of the cutout hole 4.
