PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-head grinding machine capable of conducting high precision grinding work in simultaneous work to work parts of pin parts at a plurality of positions revolving around the pin parts in a crank shaft as rotation axes. SOLUTION: In grinding work parts Wa-Wd at a plurality of positions on a long workpiece W by a plurality of grinding wheels 23A and 23B, outer diameter size of each work part Wa-Wd is measured by measuring devices 32A and 32B, and the grinding wheels 23A and 23B are driven under control for shape error compensation based on the result of measurement. When measurement values by the measurement devices 32A and 32B for preceding work parts Wa-Wd in grinding work among the work parts Wa-Wd at the plurality of positions in the workpiece W become prescribed values, grinding work to the preceding work parts Wa-Wd is temporarily stopped to wait till the measurement values by the measuring devices 32A and 32B for succeeding work parts Wa-Wd become the prescribed values. Final grinding work to the work parts Wa-Wd in the workpiece W by the grinding wheels 23A and 23B is then simultaneously started.
