PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring a state of a power system is provided to detect and record a power fault and a power system operation function by using only one device. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring apparatus is formed with a hardware system and a software system. The hardware system is formed with an analog input circuit, an analog/digital signal conversion circuit, a digital signal input/output circuit, a digital signal processor, an MMI(Man-Machine Interface) circuit, a CPU, and a peripheral device. The software system is formed with a signal processor(31), an MMI processor(40), an analog signal acquisition module(33), a power state measurement module(36), a digital signal acquisition module(34), an equipment state measurement module(37), a power monitoring module(32), a trigger module(39), a memory module(38), a digital signal output module(35), a recording module(41), an analysis module(42), a key scan module(43), a display module(44), a print module(45), and a communication module(46).
