PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate following anxieties possibly occurring if power supply voltage drop of a driving system is slow when power is turned off (shut down), e.g. it is better for a user not to turn off a power switch or to draw out a power plug during a specified operation but the power switch may be turned off upon ending the specified operation because it become unclear. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises a recording head, a heater in the recording head different from a recording element, and a power down sequence at the time of power down wherein the heater is driven during the period of power down sequence.
