<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator capable of surely suppressing the continuation of a state where a current of a high voltage power supply impressed to an electrode becomes an overcurrent. SOLUTION: This ion generator 20 is provided with a minus ion generating part 21, a high voltage unit P plate 43 having a high voltage power supply output part 40, and a second control P plate 42. The minus ion generating part 21 discharges between two electrodes to generate ions. The high voltage unit P plate 43 outputs the high voltage power supply to the minus ion generating part 21. The high voltage unit P plate 43 is provided with an input current detecting circuit 42a. The second control P plate 42 is provided with an output current detecting circuit 43b. The output current detecting circuit 43b is provided for determining whether or not the current of the high voltage power supply exceeds 120μA. The input current detecting circuit 42a is provided for determining whether or not the current of the high voltage power supply exceeds 200μA.</p> |
