PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative-type picture recording material adaptable to heat mode which suppresses an undesirable curing reaction in ordinary preservation, is excellent in preservation stability, has a high strength picture part which is formed therefrom and forms lithographic printing plate which is excellent in printing durability. SOLUTION: This picture recording material is characterized in containing a polymer compound (A) which has side chains containing at least one carbon- carbon double bond, has glass transition temperature of <=80 deg.C and is soluble in alkaline aqueous solution, a photothermal transducing agent (B) and a compound (C) which generates radicals by the exposure of wavelength light which can be absorbed by the photothermal transducing agent, and being capable of forming picture by exposure. Preferably, this picture recording material contains a radical polymerizable compound (D). |
