<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device for a vehicle with excellent cost performance, capable of properly monitoring a control CPU. SOLUTION: The engine ECU 10 comprises the control CPU 11 with the engine control function and the electronic throttle control function in the vehicle and a monitor CPU 12 connected to the control CPU 11 in such a way that they can communicate with each other for monitoring the motion of the control CPU 11. The monitor CPU 12 receives data for monitoring the control CPU 11 and stores the data in a memory 16. Moreover, the monitor CPU 12 judges whether the data for the monitoring stored in the memory 16 are normal or not, and modifies the data for the monitoring in the memory 16 only when the data are not normal.</p> |
