PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear body construction of a vehicle capable of dispersing load inputted from a rear suspension, improving the flexural rigidity and the torsional rigidity of a body, and improving the yield strength at the time of collision. SOLUTION: The rear body construction of the vehicle is provided with a tunnel part 2 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the central part of a floor panel 1, and a tunnel reinforcement 11 disposed along the tunnel part 2 and forming a closed cross section 12 between it and the tunnel part 2. The tunnel reinforcement 11 is connected to a cross member 16 for connecting left and right side frames 7 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. At least one reinforcement 40 is disposed inside the side frame 7 to longitudinally partition the closed cross section 9 of the side frame 7 corresponding to the connection parts and between the tunnel reinforcement 17 and the cross member 16.
