DNA coding for enzyme, bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia coli and process for preparing L-lysine

A DNA coding for a dihydrodipicolinate synthase enzyme originating from a bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia coli having mutation to desensitize feedback inhibition by L-lysine, which represents a pert of the invention, can be used for transformation of bacteria of the Escherichia coli genus, which in turn can produce a grater amount of L-lysine. The present invention also relates to bacterial of the Escherichia coli genus that have been transformed by the above indicated DNA or a DNA coding for an aspartokinase III originating from a bacterium belonging to the genus Escherichia coli and having mutation to desensitize feedback inhibition by L-lysine, too. Claimed is also a process for preparing ?-lysine by cultivating the above indicated bacteria.
