PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the resonance frequency of the rotary driving system of an image carrier without increasing the mechanical weight and the size of the system. SOLUTION: The image carrier driving device is provided with an image carrier holding shaft (2) that supports an image carrier (PR) on which a toner image is formed and integrally rotates with the carrier (PR), a rotational force transmitting gear (G1) mounted on the shaft (2), an image carrier driving motor (M1) which transmits image carrier rotational force to the gear (G1) and a vibration attenuating auxiliary motor (M2) which is connected to the shaft (2) through a torque limiter (3). |
