PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper frame structure of a heat insulating sash, in which supporting strength of an inner shoji is great an which prevents damage to an internal appearance. SOLUTION: A metallic member (a) of an upper frame 1a has a metallic outer rail 12 which is engaged with a guide groove opened at an upper end of an outer shoji 2b. A resin member of the upper frame 1a has: a resin outer rail 16 which is engaged with the indoor side of the rail 12 so as to cover an indoor side surface of the rail 12; and a resin inner rail 17 which is engaged with a guide groove opened at an upper end of the inner shoji 2a. An outdoor side rail part 20 is formed of the rails 16 and 12; and a metallic reinforcing member 21 is mounted on an outdoor side surface of the rail 17 in such a manner as to about on it, so that an indoor side rail part 24 can be formed of the rail 17 and the reinforcing member 21.
