<p>Changes in diameter of a cable being produced from an extruder and having a plastics sheath are corrected by controlling the speed of draw-off by an electrical-signal summing device fed with error signals from an electro-mechanical diameter senser and a contactless diameter senser. Pref., sensing rollers with an inductive pick-up and photo-electric senser are used.</p> |
