PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin having low specific gravity and easily separable from PET in a recycling process and provide a molded article made of the polyester resin. SOLUTION: The polyester resin contains 25-70 mol% 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and 30-75 mol% dimer acid based on the total dicarboxylic acid component, contains 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol as a main diol component and has a density of <=1.10 g/cm<3> . The polyester resin has a specific gravity smaller than that of PET resin to enable easy separation from the PET resin in the recycling use, has excellent heat-resistance and is widely usable as bottles, sheets, films, injection molded articles and fibers. |
