DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXCAVATING

PURPOSE: An excavating device and a method are provided to dig a hole with desired diameter efficiently regardless of ground condition without an auxiliary crane, and to reduce process by excavating the ground in the steel pipe with a pusher and discharging soil out of the hole. CONSTITUTION: An excavator is composed of a Kelly bar(10) suspending by a movable crane and telescoping; an excavator bucket(14) attached to the lower end of the Kelly bar; a support frame unit(11) loaded on a steel pipe to support and rotate the Kelly bar to a vertical axis; a hydraulic motor placed on the support frame unit to rotate the Kelly bar around the vertical axis; and a clamping unit restricting reaction force in rotating the Kelly bar by combining the support frame unit with the steel pipe, and rotating the Kelly bar securely.
