PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material to be recorded by ink jet having an ink acceptive layer having excellent ink dryability, transparency and water resistance and having good coating properties of the ink acceptive layer. SOLUTION: The material to be recorded by ink jet comprises the ink acceptive layer obtained by coating a coating liquid containing a carboxylic group-containing polymer, a water soluble monomer, a polyvinyl purrolidone, a polymerization initiator, and a crosslinker as indispensable components on a base and heating the liquid. As the carboxylic group-containing polymer, a polymer having a carboxylic group such as a polyacrylic acid or the like is suitably used. As the water soluble monomer, a monomer having a hydrophilic group such as the carboxylic acid group or the like is suitably used. As the crosslinker, a melamine compound is suitably used. |
