PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture fall-down preventing device which is easily recovered to an original state for reuse by releasing the operation of the device after preventing fall-down of furniture with the operation and also is not operated in the case of non-usage even when the furniture is moved. SOLUTION: A latchet 3 is arranged at the side of the rack 2a of a vertically freely movable support leg 2 with the rack 2a formed on the side surface so as to be freely rotatable to check the upward movement of the support leg 2 by allowing an end pawl part 3a to be fitted to a rack 2a with energizing force. A thin and long operation lever 4 for operating the rotation of the latchet 3 from the outer part of the furniture is disposed so as to project to the outside of the furniture.
