DECONVOLUTION OF MLS RESPONSE DATA

A method of and apparatus for the deconvolution of response data obtained fr om transmission of a maximum length sequence (MLS), wherein the samples of incoming data are deconvoluted and stored in a recons truction buffer as said samples are received. It is poss ible in this way to employ a reconstruction buffer shorter than that necessary to st ore the complete deconvoluted waveform.
