FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed in-line internal combustion engine on base of V-engine contains cylinder block accommodating crankshaft with bearings, cylinder units and mounted sets. Second row of cylinders is removed from cylinder block and oil sump is connected to lower part of cylinder block. Support plate of cylinder block is turned into horizontal position, cylinders are installed in vertical position by turning through angle of gamma/2 where gamma - is angle between cylinder axes in V-engine. Cylinder units are essentially common module assembled from cylinder cover, cylinder linear, piston and connecting rod. Cylinder units are installed into cylinder block and are removed from engine in assembly. EFFECT: provision of high degree of standardization, reduced labor input in manufacture, improved reliability and convenience in servicing. 2 dwg |
