FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: the suggested method is characterized by subcutaneous implantation of potassium iodide tablets supplemented with stabilizer and filler for brood sows in area of concha auriculae foundation 30 d before the onset of farrowing. The method in question provides strengthening reticulin and collagen fibers of abdominal wall muscles in newborn piglets. EFFECT: higher efficiency of prophylaxis.
