FIELD: organic chemistry, medicine, oncology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel derivatives of chalcone of the general formula (A): where Ar is phenyl that can be unsubstituted or substituted with one, two or three substituents taken independently among Cl, Br, -OMe, NO2,CF3, C1-4-lower alkyl, -NMe2,-NEt2,-SCH3,-NHCOCH3; 2-thienyl, 2-furyl, 3-pyridyl, 4-pyridyl or 3-indolyl; R means -OCH2R1 where R1 is taken among -CH=CMe2,-CMe=CH2,-C=CH under condition that when Ar represents phenyl, C4-alkyl- phenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl or 3,4-dimethoxyphenyl then R can mean either value, except for 3-methyl-2- butenyloxy-group. The above mentioned compounds elicit valuable antiproliferative activity against both sensitive cancer cells and cells showing resistance to conventional chemotherapeutic medicinal preparations. Invention involves also pharmaceutical composition based on compounds of the formula (A). Invention provides development of novel compounds and pharmaceutical composition that can be used in medicine for treatment or prophylaxis of climacteric disturbances or osteoporosis.
