MICROORGANISM METARHIZIUM SP. AND METHOD FOR DESTROYING INSECTS IN SOIL USING THE SAME MICROORGANISM

PURPOSE: A microorganism Metarhizium sp. and a method for destroying insects in soil using the same microorganism are provided, thereby the Metarhizium sp. can be useful for destroying various insects in soil without influencing crops. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism Metarhizium sp. having insecticidal activity for the soil insects is provided, wherein the microorganism is Metarhizium anisopliae HY-2(KCTC 0156BP). A medium for growth of the microorganism Metarhizium sp. contains carbon sources, nitrogen source and inorganic substances, wherein the carbon source is at least one material selected from the group consisting of glucose, corn starch, saccharose, molasses, wheat bran and rice bran; the nitrogen source is at least one material selected from the group consisting of yeast extract, soybean flour, corn steep liquor, malt extract and peptone; and the inorganic substance is at least one material selected from the group consisting of KCl, MgSO4, FeSO4 and NaNO3.
