ELECTROMAGNETIC COIL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce eddy current loss and improve reliability in insulation between interlayers in a radiation-proof electromagnetic coil which is wound using a strand conductor insulated by laterally winding a prepreg. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises a step for applying a prepreg, in which a polyimide resin is impregnated in a glass fiber tape constituted of a boron-free glass fiber, along either one or both of opposed side faces of strand conductors so as to be vertical interlayer insulation layers, a step for laterally winding another prepreg for forming an insulation layer, and a step for forming the coil by winding a prepreg in the state that the vertical interlayer insulation layers are positioned vertically to the bending direction while inserting lateral interlayer insulation layers into faces in parallel to the bending direction.
