PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable suppression of the occurrence of a reproducing error in actual reproduction. SOLUTION: An optical disk is reproduced at a reference reproducing speed to obtain the reproducing error between setting the optical disk at a reproducing position and starting the actual reproduction (Y of step A), an actual reproducing speed is obtained based on the reproducing error obtained (step A9), and the reproduction of the optical disk is done at an actual reproducing speed obtained in the actual reproduction when actually reproducing. Consequently, reproduction can be done at the actually reproducing speed suitable to the recording quality of the optical disk, with considering the occurrence of the reproducing error of a cause of the generation of reproducing retry and deceleration treatment when actually reproducing the optical disk.
