FRONT SIDE SUCTION AND DISCHARGE TYPE OUTDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A front side suction and discharge type outdoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to rapidly discharge heat in a control box using a heat sink. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor unit comprises an outdoor unit casing(10) having one side facing the outside opened and the other sides closed to introduce and discharge outside air through the one side; a compressor installed in the outdoor unit casing to compress refrigerant vapor supplied from an indoor unit through a tube; an air-cooled condenser(30) condensing refrigerant vapor by outside air introduced through the one side of the outdoor unit casing; a cooling fan(40) introducing outside air to the air-cooled condenser and discharging air having exchanged heat to the one side of the outdoor unit casing; and a control box(50) controlling the compressor, the air-cooled condenser and the cooling fan. The control box includes an inverter circuit therein, and having a heat sink(60) attached on at least one side of the control box near the inverter circuit. The heat sink is placed on a discharge route from the air-cooled condenser to the cooling fan through which air having exchanged heat moves.
