PURPOSE: An apparatus for disassembling and assembling back-up roll separator is provided to improve operation productivity and perform operation more effectively and safely by disassembling and assembling the back-up roll separator mechanically, promptly and accurately. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an adjusting part positioned at one side of a back-up roll maintenance stand; and a clamp part which is supported and moved back and forth by the adjusting part and ascended and descended to the lower part of the side of the maintenance stand to detach the separator(16) from both chocks of a back-up roll(10), wherein the adjusting part comprises a guide beam(104) which is perpendicularly formed to the separator(16), and at one end of which a rack gear part(102) is integrally formed, a pair of guide moving stands(140) vertically inserted into a penetration part of the guide beam(104), an adjusting shaft which is penetrated into each female screw part of the pair of guide moving stands(140), the other end part of which is penetratingly connected to the rack gear part(102), and which is rotated forward and reversely by a motor(126) to move the guide moving stands(140) back and forth, and a block(106) into which the rack gear part(102) is penetratingly inserted to move the guide beam(104) back and forth, and the clamp part comprises an upper supporting plate(204) to both sides of which a vertical driving cylinder(202) is attached, and a lower supporting plate comprising pad clamp(210), separator pipe clamp(214) and rotary cylinder(220).
