POWER CONTROL METHOD OF FORWARD COMMON POWER CONTROL CHANNEL

PURPOSE: A power control method of a forward common power control channel is provided to control efficiently power of channels in process of use in order to control power relating to reverse feedback channels. CONSTITUTION: A terminal selects a base station for performing a forward power control(S10). A power level of a PCB(Power Control Bit) transmitted from the selected base station to its own terminal is measured(S11). The measured power level is compared to the power control critical value relating to the PCB of the terminal(S12). When the measured power level is larger than the power control critical value, a terminal produces an F(Forward)-PCB for making the power level of an R(Reverse)-PCB descend(S14) and in an opposite case, the terminal produces an F(Forward)-PCB for making the power level of an R(Reverse)-PCB ascend(S13).
